The lunch menu contains three courses and is £ 65. The evening menu also has three courses and is £ 110. Duck & Waffle

An unbeatable combination

The name also caused confusion for us: duck and waffles? This combination reflects the tasteful streak between hearty, rustic and sticky sweet. Duck & Waffle is also the specialty of this restaurant: pickled duck leg with deep-fried duck egg and a waffle along with sweet mustard maple syrup.

Duck & Waffle offers you fine dining, but is in the middle price category with most main courses between £ 17 and £ 40 in the evening menu. On top of that you get a really breathtaking view from the 40th floor of the Bishopsgate building in central London! So it’s not only one of the best restaurants in London but also offers a splendid view. In addition, the restaurant is just like its dishes: a real feast for the eyes. The view, the food and the fair prices make Duck & Waffle our secret favorite.

Oblix The Shard Restaurant

An unforgettable view

The Oblix Restaurant is located on the 32nd floor of The Shard skyscraper and offers a fantastic view and the best of the Spanish charcoal grill.

If you visit the website of the Oblix The Shard Restaurant, you will see that it defines its philosophy as “contemporary, sophisticated and relaxed”. During our visit we were already very impressed with the lunch menu and the quality of the dishes on offer. All orders for the neighboring tables also looked really great! There is no doubt that the chefs have mastered their craft. The special taste of the dishes was partly due to the fact that they were prepared in an “asadero”, a traditional charcoal grill. If it can be a bit more chic, I can really recommend this restaurant, because the food is delicious and the view is spectacular!

Yotam Ottolenghi is the author of five cookbooks, cook in the well-known NOPI, owns four specialty shops and writes a column in “the Guardian”. His whole life revolves around creating, cooking, tasting and optimizing. This passion is also reflected in his dishes hence his Nopia is one of the best restaurants in London. The dishes are upscale, but not upscale. The ingredients are simple, the taste is excellent. He likes to play with opposite tastes in order to surprise his guests with an unexpected harmony. A very big recommendation from our side!
