Prague, at your own pace.

Start here

A weekend you can actually enjoy.

Base yourself near Old Town or Malá Strana if you want to walk much of this route. Pick one major paid interior in advance; leave the rest of your time open for streets, viewpoints and café stops.

Day 1 · Classic Prague

Old Town Square → Charles Bridge → Malá Strana → the Castle district.

Day 2 · Your Prague

A slower riverside morning, then a museum, market or neighborhood you choose.

Food thread

Start with chlebíček, then build lunch and dinner around where you already are.

The route

Two days, without the checklist.

Day 1 · Cross the city

Morning

Begin at Old Town Square. Take time in the surrounding lanes, then walk toward Charles Bridge. An early crossing may be calmer than midday.

Lunch

Try a chlebíček, a Czech open-faced sandwich. Sisters Bistro on Dlouhá is one option near your route; check today’s menu and hours.

Afternoon

Cross into Malá Strana, then head toward the Castle district. Choose any interiors before buying tickets, and keep your return downhill unhurried.

Day 2 · Leave room

Morning

Take a riverside walk and make time for a café. Revisit a street that caught your eye yesterday rather than racing to a new landmark.

Afternoon

Choose one museum, market or neighborhood. This open block absorbs rain, a long lunch or an unexpected find without making the whole weekend feel late.

Evening

Stay near your final stop for dinner. Compare current menus, booking rules and transport home before you commit.

Eat the city

Make food part of the route.

Our city guides always include what to taste and where it fits in the day. For Prague, start with chlebíček and explore further using Prague City Tourism’s food guide.

  • Quick bite: chlebíček at a specialist counter such as Sisters Bistro.
  • Full meal: compare options in the city’s food and drink listings, near your day’s route.
  • Before you go: confirm the venue’s menu, address, opening hours and booking method directly.

Good to know

Plan the essentials, leave the rest open.

Check access

Opening hours, tickets and transport can change. Use each venue’s official page before departure.

Stay flexible

Reserve one anchor activity per half-day. Move the second-day outdoor walk if the weather shifts.

Coming in October?

Signal Festival is scheduled for 15–18 October 2026. Confirm its program and access before planning around it.
