About the project
Europe, one good weekend at a time.
Weekend in Europe helps English-speaking travelers make more of short trips: a clear route, a taste of the city, and space to wander.
Our story
The site began with a couple who lived in London, Paris and Istanbul and used weekends and long weekends to explore Europe. That idea still guides us: a short trip can be rich without being overplanned.
Today we are rebuilding the guides around 48-hour routes that are useful before departure and easy to follow once you arrive.
What goes into a guide
Route, food, details.
Each city guide combines a flexible two-day itinerary, local foods and researched places to try them, and practical checks for opening hours, tickets and transport. We prioritize official visitor information and venue pages, then revisit time-sensitive details as they change.
Editorial standards
Clear about what we know.
Research-based suggestions are presented as such. We do not claim a personal visit unless we can substantiate it. Photos may be licensed stock and are credited where practical. We identify paid placements and affiliate links when they appear; recommendations should still serve the trip.
Start with our Prague weekend guide. Paris and other European cities are on the editorial map, each with a food thread and a route you can make your own.
